Whether you like the man or not, Judge Andrew Napolitano hits the nail on the head as he describes how government is trampling your rights under the guise of the Constitution’s commerce clause.

Folks, the time is here; the time is now. We must come together as we’ve not done since the founding of our republic. First, on the subject of health reform, we must each contact those senators who are on the fence, and convince them to defeat this legislation. They may not be senators from your state, but the decision they make with regard to health care will affect you and your family directly and, as such, you have a right–and an obligation–to contact them yourself. The list includes:

Sen. Evan Bayh (D-IN) 202-224-5623
Sen. Kent Conrad (D-ND) 202-224-2043
Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-AR) 202-224-4843
Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) 202-224-4041
Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-ND) 202-224-2551
Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) 202-224-6154
Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA) 202-224-5824
Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL) 202-224-5274
Sen. Ben Nelson (D-NE) 202-224-6551
Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO) 202-224-5852
Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) 202-224-2644

Call each of these senators, along with your own, and make a loud noise!

On a larger scale, we must now determine how we can organize and bring both ourselves and others to the realization that the Congress, elected to carry out our will, within the constraints placed on it by the Constitution, no longer represents us at all. We must look at our charter, our mission and goals, and formulate the methods by which we can achieve them. To do otherwise shall surely usher in the end of the “last, best hope of mankind on earth.”

Your Rights, Trampled by … the Commerce Clause?
